The Institute of Culture and Education for Development – ICED is a nonprofit organization that promotes culture, books, education, research and innovation as resources for human and social development.

Through cultural projects, studies, libraries, fairs, training, publications and partnerships, we create more opportunities for knowledge, development and active participation in society.

Knowledge in the service of development

ICED is an independent, non-partisan and nonprofit organization created to support and implement initiatives in culture, education, innovation and development.

At the center of our work are books, teachers, schools, heritage, technology and knowledge. We believe access to quality culture and education is a fundamental right and a necessary condition for individual and community development.

Culture and books

We promote books, reading, authors, libraries, heritage and cultural participation through projects, publications, fairs and public activities.

Education and schools

We support teachers, students, schools and educational institutions through reading programs, training, educational resources and new technologies.

Studies and knowledge

We conduct surveys, research and analysis on reading, cultural consumption, libraries, education standards and the impact of technology on society.

Technology and development

We study and promote the use of technology and Artificial Intelligence in culture, education, entrepreneurship and future skills development.
